We collect only information reasonably required to operate the website, process orders and provide support.
Customer and parish information: Name, parish or organisation name, email address, telephone number and any information supplied in an enquiry.
Order and fulfilment information: Selected workbooks, quantities, order number, order total, payment status, billing details, PostNet destination or collection choice, delivery contact information and fulfilment history.

Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, website activity, cookie identifiers and security logs generated by the website, hosting platform and any enabled analytics tools.
Information is collected directly when a customer places an order, sends proof of payment to admin@faithforward.co.za, selects delivery or collection, sends a form, email or WhatsApp message, or speaks with Faith Forward.
Technical information may be generated automatically through WordPress, WooCommerce, Hostinger, essential cookies, server logs and any analytics or security tools enabled on the website.
Faith Forward processes personal information only for a specific and lawful purpose, including:
Orders and fulfilment: Receiving and confirming workbook orders; calculating totals and delivery charges; verifying EFT payments; preparing orders; arranging PostNet delivery or Brooklyn collection; and sending order updates.
Customer support: Responding to questions, helping customers select workbooks, correcting order problems, handling cancellations or returns, and resolving complaints.
Administration and compliance: Maintaining transaction, accounting and consumer records; responding to lawful requests; preventing fraud; securing the website; and enforcing legal rights.
Website improvement: Understanding website performance and improving navigation or content using proportionate technical information and, where required, consent-based analytics.
Direct marketing: Sending promotional email, SMS or WhatsApp communications only where permitted by law, with an effective method to opt out. Order-status messages are transactional and are not marketing.
Depending on the purpose, Faith Forward processes personal information because it is necessary to enter into or perform an order; required by law; necessary for a legitimate operational or security interest that does not unjustifiably override the person’s rights; or based on consent where consent is required. Consent may be withdrawn without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Faith Forward does not sell personal information. Information is shared only where reasonably necessary with authorised Faith Forward personnel and service providers supporting the website, communications, payment verification, accounting, delivery, security or legal compliance.
Relevant recipients may include Hostinger as the website host; WordPress and WooCommerce service components; email and communications providers; PostNet or another approved fulfilment provider; banks involved in EFT verification; professional advisers; and regulators, law-enforcement bodies or courts where disclosure is legally required.
Only information required for the relevant service should be disclosed. Service providers that process information for Faith Forward must be subject to appropriate confidentiality, security and data-processing obligations.
Some hosting, email, analytics or technology providers may store or process information outside South Africa. Where this occurs, Faith Forward will use a lawful transfer mechanism and take reasonable steps to ensure protection consistent with section 72 of POPIA.
Personal information is retained only for as long as required for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain legally required transaction and accounting records, to resolve disputes, or to establish and defend legal claims.
Order, payment and fulfilment records will be retained for the applicable statutory recordkeeping period. Enquiries and support correspondence will be retained only while reasonably required to resolve the matter and address related legal or operational needs. Marketing information will be retained until consent is withdrawn or the person opts out, unless another lawful reason applies.
When information is no longer required, Faith Forward will delete, destroy or de-identify it securely.
Faith Forward will take appropriate and reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, damage, unauthorised access, interference, alteration or disclosure. Measures may include access controls, secure hosting, software updates, backups, malware protection and limiting information access to people who require it.
No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. If Faith Forward has reasonable grounds to believe personal information has been accessed or acquired by an unauthorised person, it will investigate and notify the Information Regulator and affected persons as required by POPIA.
The website may use essential cookies required for basket, order placement, security and website operation. Optional analytics or marketing cookies must not be used without the required notice and consent. Visitors should be able to manage non-essential cookie preferences through the website’s cookie controls.
The cookie notice must identify the active tools, purposes, providers and relevant retention periods. Browser settings may also be used to restrict cookies, although blocking essential cookies may affect placing an order functionality.
Faith Forward workbooks are intended for young people, but the online store and order process are intended for adults, parish representatives, catechists, parents or guardians. Faith Forward does not intentionally request a child’s personal information to complete an order.
If unnecessary children’s information is received, Faith Forward will restrict its use and delete it when no lawful reason requires retention. A parent or competent person may contact Faith Forward about children’s information.
Subject to POPIA and other applicable law, a person may ask whether Faith Forward holds their personal information; request access to it; request correction, completion, deletion or destruction; object to processing in appropriate circumstances; withdraw consent; and object to or opt out of direct marketing.
A request should be sent to admin@faithforward.co.za and include enough information to identify the requester and the relevant records. Faith Forward may request reasonable identity verification before disclosing or changing personal information. Certain information may need to be retained where law requires it or a lawful exception applies.
